Seafarers International Union The SIU is the largest North American union representing merchant mariners. Represents members in Canada, the US, the Caribbean and Latin America. Seamen's Justice Center A reform group within the Seafarers' International Union (SIU). Sailors' Union of the Pacific Organized 1885, to improve and protect the lives of merchant seamen, to change legislation affecting seamen, and to foster communication between seamen of all nations.
